Stop Trying So Hard

Signed up for another year of OU yesterday : 20th century literature, so Eliot ahoy! Those of you who follow the adventures of The Limitations will be fascinated to know what happens when the creator of a fictional character comes face to face (in “laboratory conditions” so to speak) with the real person upon whom his character was based … paradox time, no? With hilarious consequences. If I could only arrange for the tutorials to take place at the so-called Dali Museum, we’d have some real fireworks!

Anyway, back to the present.

Off to town today for the nicest of pleasures – bookshop tumescence and a coffee with my beautiful wife. A re-balancing after the freakouts and beatups of the last few days. Several encouraging communications and other gentling have convinced me that I am treading the right course at the moment, money problems notwithstanding.

Why am I putting this on the net? I need to stop trying so hard.
